This Privacy Policy explains how Nexus Instruments LLC ("Nexus Calc," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit nexuscalculator.org or purchase the Nexus Calculator.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to fulfill your order and operate the site:

Order information: name, email address, shipping address, and order details.
Payment information: processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number on our servers.
Communications: messages you send to support, including your email address and the contents of your message.
Basic technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used to keep the site secure and functional.
AI message history (credit users): if you use Nexus Credits, the prompts your calculator sends and the AI's responses are stored so you can review them in the Message History feature on your dashboard. This content is retained until you delete it, which you can do at any time from the dashboard ("Clear history"). We store only whether an image was attached, not the image itself.

2. How We Use Your Information

To process and ship your order.
To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and respond to support requests.
To detect fraud and protect the security of the site.
To comply with legal obligations (tax records, etc.).

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that need it to deliver our product:

Payment processor (Stripe) — to process your payment.
Shipping carriers — to deliver your order.
Email service provider — to send order and support emails.
Legal authorities — if required by valid legal process.

4. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the checkout and site to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

5. Data Retention

We retain order records for as long as required by US tax and accounting law (generally 7 years). Support emails are retained for up to 3 years. You may request deletion of non-required data at any time.

Delete your information (subject to records we are legally required to keep).

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Nexus Calc is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit and limited internal access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
