Returns & Refunds
The short version: You have 14 days from delivery to start a return on an unused, original-packaging Nexus Calc. Defective or damaged units are covered by our 1-year limited warranty — we cover shipping in those cases.
1. Return Window
Nexus Instruments LLC offers a 14-day return window, beginning the date your order is delivered. To be eligible, you must contact us within 14 days of delivery to request a return authorization. Returns initiated after the 14-day window cannot be accepted.
2. How to Start a Return
Email support@nexuscalculator.org with:
- Your order number
- The reason for the return
- Photos of the product and packaging (helpful but not required)
We will reply with a return authorization and the address to ship the product back to. Do not ship the product back before receiving a return authorization — unauthorized returns may not be processed.
3. Required Condition
To qualify for a refund, returned items must be:
- Unused and in original, resellable condition
- In the original packaging with all inserts and protective materials
- Returned with all accessories (charging cable, documentation, etc.)
Items returned with signs of use, missing accessories, or significant cosmetic damage may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25%, or may be refused.
4. Return Shipping
For standard returns (change of mind, no longer needed), you are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked, insured shipping method — we cannot issue a refund for items that are lost in transit.
5. Refund Method and Timing
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will email you to confirm the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically take 5–7 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable except in the case of a defective or incorrectly shipped item.
6. Defective or Damaged Items
If your Nexus Calc arrives damaged, defective, or not as described:
- Contact us within 14 days of delivery.
- We will provide a prepaid return label — you do not pay return shipping.
- We will issue a full refund or send a free replacement, at your choice.
After 14 days, defective units fall under the 1-year limited warranty described in our Terms of Service.
7. Non-Returnable Items
- Units with a custom-configured AI personality that has been activated or personalized to your account.
- Products marked "final sale" at the time of purchase.
- Gift cards or digital credits.
8. Order Cancellation
If your order has not yet shipped, you may cancel for a full refund by emailing us as soon as possible. Once an order has shipped, the standard return process above applies.
